Rube Goldberg

I’m sure everyone’s familiar with Rube Goldberg devices (I think the most well known is probably from the “Mouse Trap” game) which were based on his cartoons & illustrations of outlandishly complicated machines which performed a simple task.  I think there have been all kinds of crazy Rube Goldberg alarm clock designs over the years, but his actual alarm clock was probably pretty simple.

Vegas, Baby!

That’s right, I’m headin’ for the City of Sin this weekend!  In fact, I’m leaving early (Wednesday to be exact) so I expect everyone to behave themselves while you have the site to yourselves.  However, fear not, I’ve already uploaded this week’s & next week’s comics, so no matter how crazy things get in Nevada you’ll be set cartoon-wise until at least September.  I even have a Vegas themed comic lined up for next Tuesday–which is purely fictional & has no connection to actual, personal events.

It’s that time once again. If there’s a subject or setting you’d like to see made into a cartoon, please submit it below, or email it to me if you prefer. If you’re new to the site, you can find a full explanation, here, along with several past COD cartoons.

Basketcase auf Deutsch

You may have noticed a new link in the sidebar featuring the German flag. About two weeks ago I got an email from Dave K. a fan of the site who happens to live in Germany, and in it he offered to translate my cartoons into German! Oddly enough, I actually took German in high school. However, in the years since then I’ve forgotten almost all of what little I managed to learn. I think translated versions of my cartoons are a great way to help celebrate my German heritage, so over the last few days I’ve been working on setting up a “German” section of the site which will feature the cartoons translated by Dave. Eat your heart out David Hasselhoff.
